Performance is my first true love. I become the biggest romantic anytime I step onstage or in a rehearsal room. The art of walking in the shoes of someone else paired with being in one of the best cities in the world for music, culture and, the arts has transformed from something that I enjoy doing into a labor of love and an emerging career as a young theatre artist.
Although I am the first person in my family to pursue theatre and performance as a career. I grew up in a family of storytellers. My grandparents inundated me with stories of their pasts that informed my present. My parents have encouraged me since I was little to follow my passions. This far along on my journey, I have had compassionate and driven friends who have inspired the work that I have done thus far. Being able to live within the examples that my elders have set for me and alongside others who I learn from every day has transformed me into the theatre artist that I am today. My "village" is the reason why I do theatre.
When not on stage, I can be found reading a James Baldwin book, taking pictures (it’s my favorite hobby) or if all else fails, snuggled up watching a Shonda Rhimes show.
